Bhamashah & Shiksha Bhushan Award
Rajasthan State Govt. had conferred the prestigious Bhamashah Award to Literacy India to recognize their outstanding contribution in educating Govt. Primary School students through their interactive educational software – GyanTantra (formerly, Gyantantra Digital Dost – GDD).
The award was received by Capt. Indraani Singh, CEO and Managing Trustee of Literacy India, held on 28 Jun 2018 at Birla Auditorium, Jaipur. Hon’ble State Education Minister Mr. Vasudev Devnani and Hon’ble State Higher Education Department Minister, Ms. Kiran Maheshwari were present during the ceremony.
GyanTantra had been implemented in 30 Govt. Schools in the State of Rajasthan in academic year 2017-18, with the support from Ashiana Housing Limited, Honda Scooters & Motorcycle India Private limited, Desiccant Rotors International Pvt Ltd, Aksh Opti Fibre, Sriram Piston Ltd, and Khushii Foundation.
Literacy India was again honoured and awarded with “Bhamashah & Shiksha Bhushan” by Rajasthan Govt on 28th June 2019. The chief guest was CM Ashok Gahlot along with honoured guests, Secondary Education Minister, Mr. Govind Singh Dotasara, Technical Education Minister, Dr. Subhash Garg & Higher Education Minister, Mr. Bhanwar Singh Bhati.
The award was received by Mr. Sunil Kumar Singh, Project Director, GyanTantra Project across the states, along with Surendra Singh and Ms. Swetabja on behalf of Literacy India.
